The mission of UNC Charlotte Cable Television is to provide video communication services that enhance learning and bring inspirational and informative programming to the region. UNC Charlotte Cable Television began broadcasting in August of 1996. We provide over 350,000 households in the Charlotte region with quality educational and University-related programming 24 hours a day, every day. Currently, we can be seen in Mecklenburg, Iredell, and a portion of Union counties through Time Warner cable, and on Time Warner Digital Cable, Video On Demand Channel 1234. Our facilities include a fully equipped television studio, non-linear post production suites, field production capabilities, and a fully automated master control system. In addition, satellite reception services are available for educational, public affairs, and athletic programming.
